Cardiofy contains the 12 most potent
cardiovascular rejuvenating herbal concentrates available in
Ayurveda Science
and backed by
clinical studies. When formulated in the correct amounts and
blended by our proprietary process,
406 natural phytonutrients exert
611
synergistic activities on your body to help control HDL and LDL
levels, improve heart muscle contractibility, increase blood circulation,
and deliver protection against cardiovascular diseases. The destructive effect of
stomach acids on active herb ingredients has prevented the introduction of
this ancient wisdom in capsule form for centuries. The team at India Herbs
has solved this problem by developing a potentiating formula in conjunction
with natural absorption catalysts and bioenhancing capsule coating to
prevent premature degradation of key constituents.
Cardiofy nourishes and stimulates the
cardiovascular system to relieve effects of stress and hypertension
by restoring core energy. This is done by increasing blood circulation,
normalizing lipid metabolism, regulating cholesterol and triglyceride
levels, stimulating liver functions with improved liver enzyme activity,
reversing the hardening of arteries by reducing platelet aggregation,
enhancing the production of collagen in connective tissue (thereby
minimizing varicose veins and strengthening blood vessels), decreasing the
receptiveness of the heart to adrenergic stimulation which increases heart
rate and force of contraction, vasoconstriction and vasodilatation,
engendering
release of metabolic energy to "warm the heart", and calming the mind to avert
hypertension.
Simply
take one Cardiofy capsule two times per day to
maintain and intensify these effects on your body over time.
Cardiofy is a safe, proprietary selection of
special herbs renowned for their cardio-protective properties. Concentrated
Extracts of these herbs have been blended in a powerfully effective
combination to increase assimilation and effective potency of each
ingredient while eliminating unwanted side-effects. Gathered from
throughout India, they include:
●
Brahmi
- Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola)

The active constituents in Brahmi are known as triterpenoids, which enhance
the production of collagen in bones, cartilage, and connective tissue.
These substances strengthen blood vessel, improve blood flow, lower blood
pressure, strengthen blood vessels, and minimize varicose veins. Brahmi
has anti-convulsive activity, besides producing significant alterations in the
neurochemistry of the brain. Studies have shown that extracts of Brahmi
significantly inhibit gastric ulceration induced by hypertension and high blood
pressure. Brahmi also increases the mean level of red blood
cells. Red blood cells are rich in hemoglobin and responsible for providing
oxygen to tissues.
●
Arjuna
-
Terminalia Arjuna (Arjuna)

This herb has been used in Ayurveda for cardiac ailments since ancient
times. The active constituents are ß-sitosterol, ellagic acid, and arjunic
acid. These compounds are beta-blockers (they slow heart rate) and are powerful antioxidants,
containing cardio-protective, hypolipidemic, anti-angina, and anti-atheroma
properties. Arjuna has been used in Ayurveda to treat coronary artery disease, heart failure,
hypercholesterolemia, and relief of angina pain. It can help lower
cholesterol by as much as 64%. In clinical studies, after only 30
days, people taking Arjuna saw their LDL levels plummet by an average of 25-26%.
●
Palandu
- Allium Cepa
(Onion)

Active
constituents in Palandu are flavonoids, particularly quercetin. Quercetin has been linked to a decreased
risk of heart attack and may reduce the incidence of atherosclerosis.
Palandu, is rich is certain sulphur-containing compounds. These
compounds are responsible for the pungent smell and fumes from Palandu as well as
the various health benefits. Regular consumption of Palandu reduces bad
cholesterol and high blood pressure. It is a natural
anti-clotting agent because it possesses substances that have fibrinolytic
activity and can suppress platelet aggregation. A whole family of alpha-sulfinyl
disulfides isolated from Palandu has been shown to strongly inhibit the arachidonic acid cascade in platelets.
Studies have concluded that serum, liver, and aorta triglyceride levels were
decreased after use of an aqueous extract of Palandu.
●
Lashuna
- Allium Sativum (Garlic)

The extracts of the Lashuna bulb and
compound preparations possess pharmacodynamic properties. Active
constituents include Allicin (diallyl thiosulphinate) which has been found to have a significant protective action against a fat
induced increase in serum cholesterol and plasma fibrinogen and in
fibrinolytic activity. Lashuna prevents hypertension induced by chronic
inhibition of nitric oxide synthesis. It exhibits strong antioxidant
activity, anti-clotting properties, inhibits atherosclerosis (hardening
of the arteries), reduces "bad" cholesterol levels in the blood, raises
"good" cholesterol levels in the blood, and lowers blood pressure.
●
Punarnava
- Boerhavia Diffusa
(Boerhavia)

The roots of this herb contain rotenoids AI, BI, C2 , D, E ,and F,
dihydroisofurenoxanthin, borhavine and an antifibrinolytic agent,
punarnavoside. Punarnava is a powerful Rasayana (longevity enhancer).
It has diuretic and Ca2+ channel blocking activity. By
clearing the excess of avalambhaka and kledhaka kapha from the chest and
stomach, Punarnava opens the channels - especially for rasa and rakta, the
circulatory fluids, to flow unimpeded.
●
Shankhpushpi
- Evolvulus
Alsinoides (Dwarf Morning Glory)

This herb contains the alkaloids convolvine,
convolamine, phyllabine, convolidine, confoline, convoline, subhirsine,
convosine, and convolvidine along with scopoline and ß-sitosterol. In
clinical studies, the ethanolic (50%) extract of Shankhpushpi reduces total
serum cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids and non-esterified fatty-acids. High-density lipoprotein or HDL was
also significantly raised.
●
Jatamansi
- Nardostachys Jatamansi (Jatamansi)

The roots of Jatamansi have been clinically employed for their anti-ischemic,
antioxidant, anti-convulsant, and neuro-protective activities. Jatamansone,
Jatamanshic acid, Virolin and Diastereome are its principal constituents.
Traditionally the herb has been used to treat epilepsy, hysteria, and
convulsions. The oil extracted from Jatamansi possesses anti-arrhythmic
activity with possible therapeutic usefulness in cases of auricular flutter.
The underlying mechanism of action can be attributed to its antioxidant enzymes.
Jatamansi also has the power to promote awareness and calm the mind. It is a
very useful herb for treating palpitations, tension, headaches, and
restlessness, and is used for effectively relieving insomnia and other sleep
disturbances. This herb's sedative properties work with your body's own
sleep-wake cycles to support healthy, natural sleep patterns required for
optimal mental acuity.
●
Makandi - Plectranthus
Barbatus
(Forskohlii)

Forskohlii is the source of a unique
substance known as Forskolin. Forskolin is a diterpene which directly
activates adenylate cyclase and raises cyclic AMP levels in a variety of
tissues. Cyclic AMP is an important cell regulating compound. Once formed,
it activates many other enzymes involved in diverse cellular functions. Under normal situations, cAMP is formed when a stimulatory hormone (epinephrine) binds to a receptor site on the cell membrane and stimulates
the activation of adenylate cyclase. This enzyme is incorporated into all
cellular membranes and only the specificity of the receptor determines which
hormone will activate it in a particular cell. Forskolin appears to bypass
this need for direct hormonal activation of adenylate cyclase. As a result
of this direct activation of adenylate cyclase, intracellular cAMP levels
rise. The physiological and biochemical effects of a raised intracellular cAMP level include: increased force of heart muscle
contractions and relaxation of the arteries and other smooth muscles.
●
Ashwagandha - Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha)

Recommended in the ancient Kama Sutra for heightening cardiovascular health,
Ashwagandha is easily the most potent herb in the entire botanical kingdom. It has the ability to promote physical and mental health, augment resistance
against disease and diverse adverse environmental factors, revitalize the
body in debilitated conditions, and increase longevity. Ashwagandha contains
the steroidal lactones: withanolides, withaferin, and heterogeneous alkaloids
including cuscohygrine, anahygrine, tropine, pseudotropine, and anaferine. These
compounds contribute to maintenance of myocardial (heart muscle) antioxidant status and contributes to the significant restoration of most of
the altered haemodynamic parameters in heart disease. Ashwagandha is an "adaptogenic" herb that has a rejuvenating
effect on the body and imparts a sense of well-being and helps one cope with
stress. It brings restorative action to the nervous system, counteracts anxiety
and high blood pressure, and promotes a calm state of mind.
Ashwagandha brings
the body back to equilibrium by relaxing it when stressed and energizing it
when fatigued.
●
Guggulu
- Commiphora Mukul
(Guggul)

Guggulu is a well-known Ayurvedic herb which normalizes lipid
metabolism and regulates cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Its
active constituents are guggulsterones which help the body burn excess
fat. It does this safely, effectively, and without the serious side effects
that often accompany Western drugs. Guggulu has also clinically
demonstrated a cholesterol-lowering ability rivaling any natural substance
yet found. According to the Indian Journal of Medical Research, Guggulu has
been found to reduce total blood cholesterol in the range of 22 to 27
percent, irrespective of dietary modifications. Since heart attack
risk drops by two percent for every one percent drop in total cholesterol,
Guggulu can cut the chance of heart attack by half. It also lowers
levels of the unwanted LDL and VIDL components of cholesterol which clog the
arteries, while at the same time raising the anti-clogging HDL. Guggulu
reduces blood triglycerides - fatty substances that contribute to
atherosclerosis and heart attack risk. In clinical studies, Guggulu
caused a 12% decrease in triglycerides, and an 11.1% decrease in the total
cholesterol ratio.
●
Ardaka
-
Zingiber Officinale (Ginger)

Gingerol, the active compound in Ardaka, is valued for its cardio-tonic
properties. In a potent 4:1 ratio extract form, concentrated levels of
Gingerol stimulate peripheral circulation to the extremities resulting in a
warming effect on the heart and improved functioning of the heart's smooth muscles.
Ardaka helps to block the effects of prostaglandins that cause
inflammation of the blood vessels. Elevated quantities of Gingerol serve as
an effective stress neutralizer by helping to reduce high blood pressure and
cholesterol while improving appetite and digestion and relieving nausea. Ayurvedic practitioners also rely on Ginger as a "carrier" herb that enables
other herbs to react more effectively in the body.
●
Sarpgandha
- Rauvolfia
Serpentina (Rauwolfia)

Reserpine is the most important alkaloid
present in the root, stem, and leaves of the Sarpgandha plant. It varies from 1.7 to 3.0%
concentration. Reserpine has a highly complex pattern of activity. It is reported to
influence the concentration of glycogen, acetyl choline, g-amino butyric
acid, nucleic acids, and anti-diuretic hormone. Reserpine helps with
regulation of the temperature centre and also favors
permeation of blood into areas rendered ischemic. It produces sedation and a
lowering of blood pressure. It is most valuable in young patients with mild
labile hypertension associated with tachycardia. In those with long
established hypertension, Sarpgandha is best used in conjunction with more potent hypertensive
drugs such as hexamethonium or hydralazine. In severe hypertension,
Sarpgandha extracts may be given by intravenous or intramuscular injection
within a few hours from when symptoms begin. Rauwolfia Serpentina has been used to
treat hypertension in West for centuries.
These
ingredients comprise a Proprietary Blend that goes to work directly on the
entire cardiovascular system, with positive effects on hormonal levels, blood flow, and
core energy.
